Congratulations to all of the parents of children who graduated this year! What a challenging time they have ahead of them. They worked hard to achieve their goals and now it is time to find that job or to begin the new position.

This year's graduates will face many challenges with a down economy and seemingly hopeless prospects for jobs, but there are many opportunities available and for some, it may mean creating their own opportunities. Perhaps some will make decisions to return to school for upper level education while the economy is trying to recover.

Students will have to utilize the research skills they acquired in school in finding jobs, as a well as keeping an eye out for opportunities in the most unlikely places, by networking and keeping abreast of opportunities publised on the news, in newspapers, and online.

What challeneges have your children overcome and what are your concerns, now that they have graduated?
