Yes, In my 10 years of working with children, I spent the last eight working w/ school age and teens, I have found that must of my disciplinary issues are with the boys. Many of the boys have some sort of physical or learning disabilities. I have also noticed a great deal of discipline problems with girls between the ages 7-14 years old. Many of these girls have older sibling (large age gap) or lack a male role model in their life. My community is one of the largest areas for housing foster and group home care in California. I run across many of these children and many of them are young black/Latino boys. I am currently mentoring foster children who are awaiting emancipation. More than half of the group are boys.
